Course Content

For almost a year, teachers have been faced with the challenge of teaching their pupils under the most difficult of circumstances. This training session will give them ideas about how to use engaging texts, linked to the theme of well-being, to excite and stimulate their pupils.

 

During the training, a number of strategies and resources will be used that can be taken immediately back into the classroom to stimulate and invigorate teaching and learning. Key skills will be at the heart of this and detailed planning will be shared that shows how short blocks of learning can be effectively used. Teachers can then adapt these materials to meet the needs of their pupils, as they will have a small bank of resources for each year group covering fiction, non-fiction and poetry. 

Resource materials, to support these blocks of learning, will be included as part of the training session and sent to the teachers after the course.
