To understand the importance of the role of the adult in ensuring the quality of children’s learning in the outdoor environment.

To support children’s language development, language for communication and language for thinking.

To know how to have meaningful and extended discussions with children; to solve problems; to extend knowledge and be creative with children outdoors.                                            

There will be an activity to complete between the sessions.                                                                                                        

Special Requirements This is a two part course and participants must attend both sessions. The first is at Unsworth Primary and the second day is delivered via Zoom.
