Supporting Bereaved Children

This course will allow staff to:

• Explore theories of grief – Children’s grief
• Understand the determinants of grief
• Look briefly at grief and child development
• Understand the needs of bereaved children
• Consider how to talk about death with children
• Look at some activities to support bereaved children and young people
