At the end of this course, staff will be able to:

• Understand what is meant by SEND and the graduated approach
• Understand importance of accurate assessment of pupils’ needs
• Identify the key elements of inclusive, high-quality teaching and support strategies
• Understand the importance of differentiation and emotional literacy in the classroom

Develop some knowledge about some key syndromes and disorders that may be found in the mainstream classroom
